Honey glaze is an excellent substitute for sugar in baking, and a wonderful substitute for a glaze of your choice.
If you don’t have a glazing ingredient, you can make your own by using an egg yolk or egg white mixture.
The easiest way to make your honey glazes is to combine a cup of water with 2 tablespoons of honey.
Then, whisk in a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Then add the sugar, honey, and vanilla to a medium saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the sugar is dissolved.
Then strain the sauce out, and add the remaining tablespoon of honey, if using.
To make your recipe, add 1 cup of honey to 1/2 cup of milk, and whisk for 2 minutes.
If using a non-stick pan, heat a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat, and melt butter over medium heat until melted.
Add the milk and milk mixture, and then add the vanilla, stirring constantly.
Add a little more milk if necessary.
Add your glaze, whisking constantly until the glaze coats the sides of your pan, then place your pan in the refrigerator.
In the morning, when the glazes are set, take them out of the fridge and mix well with a fork.
Once the glazed vegetables are cooked, they should be warm, but not hot.
When you remove them from the refrigerator, they will be cool enough to eat.
You can also serve the glazied carrots with a glazed ham, or a glazier ham.
